This page describes the ways in which the website is run, with reference to the processing of personal data of the users who consult it.
This is a policy provided for anyone interacting with the web services accessible electronically at www.assyrus.it, corresponding to the home page of the official Assyrus Srl website. The policy is provided for this site only and not for other websites users may consult via links.
The policy is provided pursuant to article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (hereinafter: the “Regulation”) of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (General Data Protection Regulation, published on 4 May 2016 in the Official Journal of the European Union, in force since 24 May 2016).
The policy is also guided by Recommendation no. 2/2001 that the European authorities for the protection of personal data, gathered in the Working Party established by Article 29 of Directive no. 95/46/EC, adopted on 17 May 2001 to identify certain minimum requirements for collecting personal data on-line, and, in particular, the procedures, timescales and nature of the information that data controllers must provide to users when they connect to web pages, regardless of the purposes of the connection, and the Italian Data Protection Authority Decision regarding the protection of personal data of 8 May 2014 containing the “Simplified Arrangements to Provide Information and Obtain Consent Regarding Cookies” (hereinafter the “Decision”), and in compliance with current privacy legislation.

Place where data is processed
Your personal data will be stored in databases at the aforementioned Company office, or on the servers of our trusted suppliers who act as data processors, on European territory, i.e. within the countries of the European Economic Area in which contractual clauses approved for the secure transfer of data apply.
Types of data processed
Browsing data During normal operation, the IT systems and software procedures used in the operation of this website acquire certain personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of internet communication protocols.
This information is not collected to be associated with identified individuals, but by its nature it could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified.
This category of data includes the IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users connecting to the site, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given to the server (successful, error etc.) and other parameters related to the operating system and to the user’s computer environment.
These data are used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information regarding site usage and to check that it is working correctly and are deleted immediately after processing. The data could also be used to ascertain responsibility in the event of hypothetical computer crimes against the website. With the exception of this case, at present, data relating to web contacts do not remain for more than seven days.
Data provided voluntarily by the user
The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of e-mails to the addresses indicated on this site or the provision of data through the request forms on the site entails the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s address, necessary to respond to requests, as well as any other personal data included in the message.
Specific summary information will be reported progressively or displayed on the pages of the site set-up for particular services on request.
Cookies are small text files that websites send to the User’s terminal, where they are stored before being re-transmitted to the same sites the next time the user visits.
The Site uses::
- session cookies used to manage the authentication service instrumental to the reserved areas of the Site; authentication cookies will allow temporary storage of the username and password for access to the reserved area of the Site.
- analytics cookies used to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of Users and how they visit the Site; analytics cookies allow, among other things, the collection and processing of the User’s browsing data, including IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by Users connecting to the Site, addresses in URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) form for the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response and other parameters relating to the operating system and the User’s IT environment; the data are collected for the sole purpose of processing anonymous statistical information on Site usage and to check that it is working correctly; browsing data may only be used to identify the User in the event that this becomes necessary in order to ascertain whether computer-related crimes have been committed.
Cookies are not used for User profiling activities.

Optional nature of data provision
Apart from what is specified for browsing data, the user is free to provide personal data contained in the request forms present for the request for contact, information or other communications.
Failure to provide such data may make it impossible to obtain what has been requested.
How processing takes place
Personal data are processed using automated tools for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which they have been collected.
Specific security measures are observed to prevent loss, illicit and/or incorrect use, unauthorised access to data.
The use of your personal data will take place with the support of paper, computer or electronic means for the purposes indicated below, for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected, or, where possible, until the moment in which the data controller receives your request for the erasure of data for whose processing consent is optional and not mandatory.
In any case, your personal data are processed in compliance with the provisions relating to the confidentiality of personal data contained in the Code, in the Regulation and in the Decisions issued by the Italian Data Protection Authority.
The data collected are dealt with by authorised personnel only. All employees who access your data are appointed as Persons Responsible for Data Processing, according to the provisions of current legislation.
The data collected may be periodically updated with information acquired during the relationship established.
We use commercially reasonable technical and organisational measures and checks to protect your Personal Information from loss, abuse and unauthorised access. Unfortunately, data transmitted or accessible via the internet cannot be 100% secure. Accordingly, although we protect all Personal Information, we cannot ensure or guarantee that such Personal Information will be completely protected from illegal use by hackers or other nefarious criminal activities or in the event of a hardware or software failure of the computer or telecommunications network. The data controller will inform the user if they are aware of a security breach concerning the latter’s personally identifiable information (as established and envisaged in so-called “Data Breach” episodes, in compliance with current legislation) in our possession.
If the user decides to provide us with their e-mail address for any reason, they explicitly agree to receive electronic alerts in the event of a security breach.
To take advantage of technical support, it is necessary to create an account, choosing a user ID and password with which you can access the session and your data.
To create an account, it is necessary to provide identification and contact data; the data marked as mandatory are essential to complete the registration and, in their absence, it will be impossible to complete the request successfully.
When choosing your password, we advise you not to use words that can be easily linked to you. A password is more secure if it consists of at least 8 alphanumeric characters, with upper and lower case letters and special characters (for example: #, *, ^ etc.). Furthermore, we advise you to change your password at regular intervals where possible and not to send it by e-mail or let anyone else know what it is. You are solely responsible for all acts performed using your user ID and password. If you lose control of your password, you may lose control of your personal information and binding actions may be performed on your behalf. So, if for any reason your password is compromised, change it immediately.
Disclosure of personal data
Without prejudice to disclosure that takes place in order to comply with a legal obligation, regulation or Community legislation, your data may be disclosed:

b) subjects delegated and/or appointed by us to carry out professional and technical maintenance activities (including maintenance of network equipment and electronic communication networks of websites where the data are published).
In any case, only the necessary, relevant data will be disclosed to the aforementioned subjects, relating to the purposes of the processing for which they are appointed as external Processors/Persons Responsible for Processing, appointed by the Data Controller as required by current legislation.
Personal data will therefore not be disseminated.
The Data Controller collaborates with law enforcement agencies and other public subjects and authorities to ensure users respect the law, the rights of other users and third parties, including their intellectual property rights. Your personal data may be therefore be disclosed to third parties, including but not limited to public entities, if this is necessary for purposes of defence, state security, prevention, detection or prosecution of crimes, in compliance with the rules governing this matter.
These public entities will be entitled to request and obtain personal information concerning you if this is necessary or appropriate for investigations or checks relating to scams or computer fraud, intellectual property rights being violated, acts of computer piracy or other illegal activities, which could expose us or our users to legal, civil or criminal liability.
Data subject rights
In compliance with current legislation, at any time you can request:

- To find out the content and origin, purposes and methods of processing;
- The logic applied in case of processing carried out with the aid of electronic instruments;

Furthermore, it is your right to obtain:
- Updating, rectification, integration, the right to data portability;
- Erasure, transformation into anonymous form or blocking of your data processed in violation of the law;
- The opposition in any case, for legitimate reasons, to the processing of data pertinent to the purpose of the collection;
- The opposition to the processing of data for commercial purposes.
Pursuant to the Policy, you will also be entitled to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

We inform users that, however, due to technical constraints and system backups, even after being deleted, the user’s personal information may continue to reside for a certain period of time and on some of our systems.
The data controller reserves the right to refuse requests for access to or the erasure of Personal Information if the disclosure or erasure of the requested information is not permitted by law.
To protect against illegal access requests, we reserve the right to request sufficient information to be able to verify the identity of the party submitting the request before allowing access or making corrections.
